Running LogiCola on Linux
My directions, which are pretty old but may still work, are based on the Ubuntu 11.10 and 9.10 flavors of Linux (the directions may vary slightly depending on your Linux flavor)
First install Wine (if it isn't already installed)
- Click Ubuntu Software Center (which may be an icon on the left or an item on the top menubar under "Applications"), then Get Free Software
- Type this and hit enter: Wine
- Pick a Wine option like Wine Windows Program Launcher or Wine Microsoft Windows Compatibility Layer
- Click Install and give password
Then download LogiCola's Setup Program
- If your Web browser isn't open, then click Firefox Web Browser (which may be an icon on the left or an item on the top menubar under "Applications" and then "Internet")
- Click here -- and then click on Save File
Then run LogiCola's Setup Program
- Go to the folder with LCSetup.exe (if the left Foxfire icon wiggles, click it and then right-click "LCSetup.exe" and pick "Open enclosing folder" -- or on the top menubar click "Applications" and then "Wine" and then "Browse C:\ Drive" and then "Downloads")
- Run LCSetup.exe (double-click it or else right-click it and pick "Open with Wine")
- Click Install on my flash drive or Install on my computer
- Click Install
- If you installed on your computer, then, on the desktop, delete the LogiCola.lnk icon that may be left on the desktop; if the desktop has a "LogiCola.desktop" file, double-click it and then click "Mark as Trusted"
Whenever you want to run LogiCola (installed on your flash drive)
- Insert and then open your flash drive
- Double-click the LogiCola cola-can icon (or right-click it and pick "Open with Wine")
